Whitehall: Police connect freshly shaven man to robbery – News – ThisWeek Community News

Whitehall police arrested a 46-year-old Whitehall man in connection with a robbery July 25 at Kroger, 3675 E. Broad St.

Police believed he was at a Doney Street residence, and officers went to the residence at 7 a.m. July 26.

Police observed movement inside the residence and 10 minutes passed before someone inside allowed officers to enter, according to reports.

Police found the suspect inside and noted he had recently shaved the beard and moustache seen in a video police used to identify him.

Facial hair and a razor were found in a bathroom sink and the suspect’s face showed small cuts, reports said.

The suspect denied involvement in the previous day’s robbery at Kroger.

He was arrested for robbery, a second-degree felony, and transported to the Franklin County jail.
